The Myall Classic relies on volunteers as well as paddlers!

Full Volunteer roles include:
Safety Officer: 1x a crucial role involving coordinating the fleet of rescue boats, and responding to distress calls.
Event Timing: 1x number caller, 1x on tablet (neurofen!)
Backup manual timing: 2x with sharp pencils!
Site Manager: 1x person to assist the management of the site, including parking, boat exclusion zones, marquees, recycling and garbage, medals presentation area.
Safety Boat Driver 2x and Observer 2x cameras at the ready!
Parking manager: x1

Paddler volunteers…who can assist then paddle the race
Scrutineers: 3x checking craft and paddlers for the correct compulsory equipment.
Event Registration: 2x persons required, process entries and distribute number boards
Food preparation: 2x Fruit and cake ready for the finishers, and lunch packs for the full day volunteers
Numbers collector 1x person to congratulate the finishers and collect boat numbers
Photographer/Videographer: x as many as possible!
The SES have been an integral part of the Myall Classic for many years, and our thanks go to the volunteers of this essential service and the integral part they play in ensuring paddler safety and communications during the event.
